National Assembly Chairman Dr. Mohammad Moshin Monday notified Assembly member Dipta Prakash Shah resigned on September 4. The Royal Palace first announced the resignation of the King’s nominee last Thursday.
A procedural issue was raised by some arguing the resignation should have been announced by the Chairman of the National Assembly instead. Shah resigned after a controversial interview in which
he argued the Maoists should be included in an interim government if a crisis ensues when scheduled elections are not held on November 13. nepalnews.com br Sept.10
