Children life insurance

Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Monday for the first time started a life insurance scheme for children. The company is a joint venture with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC-India).

Parents, guardians or relatives of children between one year to 14 years can propose the anticipatory endowment plan. The Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Sunday alloted 470,000 shares to 24,457 shareholders in a draw before  businessmen, LIC(Nepal) officials and journalists.

Altogether 51,984 people had applied for shares after the company went public.
