Crown Prince inaugurates workshop

Crown Prince Paras inaugurated a workshop on artificial organs and artificial leg replacement camp organized at Chhauni by the Nepal National Marwadi Council (NNMC) Sunday, RSS reported.

The Crown Prince distributed clippers and artificial legs to 99 men and women including Royal Nepal Army personnel who were handicapped in different incidents. He also inspected the activities related with the manufacture of artificial legs at the workshop.

The workshop was established with the technical cooperation of the Mahabir Sewa Sadan of Kolkata, India with inspiration from the success of the Jaipur foot.

All the expenses incurred by the workshop will be borne by the Nepal national Marwadi Council Sewa Kosh and Paropakar Samiti with contributions from the Marwadi Community of Nepal.

The workshop has the capacity of manufacturing up to 100 artificial legs as per the need.
