Rishi Panchami, a part of the cultural festival of Hindu women Teej is being celebrated by worshipping seven Rishis across the country today.

On the occasion women take holy dips at various rivers and ponds in the early morning and worship the Rishis. Married as well as unmarried women worship the Rishis after fasting and pray for a prosperous and happy family life.

A special fair is being organized at the Risheswor Mahadev temple or the Rishisthan at Teku Kathmandu.
