Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will return home only on Tuesday, state owned Radio Nepal said Sunday in its evening broadcast. Deuba was originally scheduled to return home from Brussels and London Monday.
No reason was given for the change in the travel plans of the government head. Deuba earlier, on the advice of his cabinet colleagues, canceled plans to address the Earth Summit in Johannesburg and address the world conference on environment as chairperson of SAARC.
Deuba will meet his Thai counterpart Thaksin Shinawatara in Bangkok Monday, the Royal Nepalese Embassy said.
He will also meet the board of directors of the Nepal Thai Chamber of Commerce and members of the Nepali community in the Thai capital the same day, the Embassy said.
