Activists belonging to the National Unity Council (NUC) demonstrated in the King’s Way Friday evening chanting slogans in support of absolute monarchy and calling for the end of corruption and terrorism.
The youths and elderly carrying the national flag in their hands demanded that the corrupt politicians be penalized and the rule of the King be reinstated to end corruption and root out terrorism from the country.
Despite the drizzle, the demonstrators remained in the streets, waving the national flag calling for the end of multiparty system, which they said had allowed politicians to amass illegally earned wealth.
Vehicular traffic was disrupted for sometime in the busiest hub of the capital city while the demonstrators sat in the streets chanting slogans and waving flags. nepalnews.com am Sept 7
