After the Mumbai High Court gave a go ahead to screen the movie “Ek Chotti Se Love Story” deciding against Actress Manisha Koirala’s claims that the producer had used her duplicate to film obscene scenes, Manisha has sought the intervention of the National Commission (NCW) for Women on the issue.

The Nepali born actress lost the lawsuit filed against the producer of the movie at the Mumbai High court. According to news reports Manisha met NCW Chairperson Poornima Advani and sought the Commission’s help against the “violation of her rights as a woman and a citizen.”

She also submitted posters and the contents of some magazines that were objectionable and in violation of the dignity of women.

The letter written to her by the producer of the movie, which said the objectionable scenes shot using her duplicate could be replaced was submitted to NCW.

The NCW has denounced the publication of such posters and advertisements in the magazines.
