The army shot dead two Maoists each in Rolpa and Dhading in continuing operations Saturday, the Defence Ministry said Sunday. The army recovered 1,800 bullets of 17.62mm caliber during a search

Saturday at Bela in Dang, the Ministry said.

The rebels probably captured the bullets from the army during raids. The rebels attacked and damaged nine village district development committee buildings in Kavre overnight and damaged a bulldozer, a local official said.

Rebels lately have been intensifying attacks nation-wide after a nine-month emergency lapsed Wednesday.
