The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Friday filed cases against three civil servants at the Special Court on charges of corruption and job enrollment through fake academic certificates.

The CIAA has filed cases against Dashi Ram Panthi, section officer at the District Election Office in Bardiya, Sanu Kaji Maharjan working at the Nepal Water Supply Corporation and office assistant Sharada Laxmi Bista working at the Rastriya Banijyaya Bank, Gausala branch.

Meanwhile the CIAA summoned Ambir Pandey, Comptroller of Examinations of the Higher Secondary Education Board for interrogation. Pandey was called at the CIAA office Friday after complaints were filed that he had tampered with the marks of some of the students who had failed the exams some months back helping them to pass.

Pandey has been accused of acquiring monetary benefit from the students. The CIAA interrogated Pandey for three hours and released him on condition that he would report back on Monday.
