The NEPSE index fell 3.50 points at the end of five-day trading Friday following a 5.99 point rise the previous week.
Trading opened at 316.39 points Monday and closed at 312.86 points Friday. Altogether 38,758 shares of 42 companies worth Rs.17.7 million were traded through 876 transactions during the week.
Index of commercial bank shares fell to 338.51 from 344.89 and accounted for 70.89 percent of the total shares traded. Bank of Kathmandu lead trading with 6,539 shares valued at Rs.2.9 million sold during the week.
