Dr.Dilli Raman Regmi dead

Senior politician and historian Dr. Dilli Raman Regmi died Thursday morning at a hospital in the capital, family sources said. He was 85.

He was on a life support system following a heart attack. He was also suffering from diabetes and kidney trouble. His body is being kept at his home in Lazimpat. The funeral will take place Friday, an announcement said.

He was a former Foreign Minister and an author of several books on Nepali history. He was a founder of the Nepali Rashtriya Congress and participated in the struggle against the Rana regime toppled in the year 2007 BS.
