The government Friday registered a bill at parliament to reduce land ceiling while withdrawing a fiat to freeze sale and transfer of land nation-wide, an announcement said.
Land Reforms Secretary Keshab Raj Rajbhandary registered the bill in parliament.
The bill has endorsed the recommendation of the ruling Nepali Congress Party central committee’s decision Thursday to reduce land ceiling.
Two opposition parties again for the seventh time disrupted proceedings of the House of Representatives demanding a ceiling on property instead of land.
Speaker Taranath Ranabhatt adjourned the session until Sunday.
