Nepal has asked India to set up a Rs. 300 million gas bottling plant in Janakpur with a storage capacity of 3,000 metric tons to meet a month’s demand.

Nepal has also requested India to extend  an oil pipeline from Raxaul to Amalekhhgunj to ensure regular supply of petroleum and reduce transport cost, a senior Nepali official said.

Officials of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) discussed the proposals recently in New Delhi.
