Eight members of a family were killed when a house collapsed in Arjewa village of Baglung district, 250 kilometers west of Kathmandu.

Police said that the house belonging to Til Bahadur Sarki caved in around mid-night due to incessant rain. Those killed in the incident include Til Bahadur Sarki and his five-year grand daughter and six other members of his family.

Five others were rescued alive from the debris, police said.
