Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana, the newly elected president of the country’s third largest political party, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party said Sunday that he would strive to work for bringing about complete unity in the party besides popularizing it as a responsible and democratic force.
Rana unlike his contenders Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani and Rabindra Nath Sharma is of the view that the King should step in whenever the country is pushed into trouble. Rana has however said that he would accommodate the views of his opponents within the party to ensure a healthy working atmosphere.
Rana is looked up to as an intellectual with in depth knowledge of the countries problems. He did his “A” levels from Britain and has taken up several important portfolios in the past governments.
