Ujjwal Sharma, the publisher of the English Daily ‘Himalayan Times’ has lodged a complaint at the district administration office admitting that the newspaper is being funded by foreigners and hence should be closed to safeguard the interest of the Nepalese people.

The newspaper had been drawing a lot of controversy after the Delhi based Asia Pacific Communication Associates (APCA) ventured to launch the paper by seeking the publication license in the name of Sharma.

Sharma lodged the complaint after his name was erased from the print line as publisher. The Kathmandu Chief District Office will begin a probe into Sharma’s complaint Wednesday.
