NEPSE index slips

KATHMANDU: For the second successive week, the NEPSE index slipped 2.37 points at the end of five-day trading Friday. Trading opened at 290.07 points Monday and closed at 287.7 points Friday.

Commercial bank share points dropped to 300.74 from 304.39. Commercial bank shares accounted for 70.28 percent of the total trade during the week. Altogether 42,940 shares valued at Rs.14.37 million exchanged hands in 981 transactions.

Nepal Bangladesh Bank led trading with Rs.1.85 million worth of shares sold.
