KATHMANDU: The government of Canada has agreed to provide 228 million rupees in grant to Nepal for the implementation of community environmental awareness generation and management projects, according to Ministry of Finance.

An agreement to this effect was signed by joint secretary at the Ministry of Finance Madhav Ghimire and first secretary of Canadian Embassy in Kathmandu today.

His Majesty’s Government has appreciated the continued support of the Canadian government for the social and economic development of Nepal, a press release of the Finance Ministry said.
