British national sentenced

A special court in the capital Thursday sentenced a British national to a 17 year prison term and a fine of Rs. 500,000 for attempting to smuggle 2 kgs and 200 grams of  heroin to Indonesia and Australia

more than one year ago out of Tribhuvan International Airport.

W. Robins was arrested with the drugs concealed in a suitcase and shoes before boarding a flight for Southeast Asia at the airport. The special court of Justices Tap Bahadur Magar, Damodar Sharma and Bhupdwoj Adhikari delivered the sentence.
