KATHMANDU: The army Saturday recovered eight guns, ammunition and explosives during a search at a village in Myagdhi district, the Defence Ministry said.

In continuing search operations nation-wide, the army also recovered explosives, communist literature and combat dress from a village in Bhajang district, the Ministry said. Altogether 44 Maoists or suspects were arrested in seven districts, including 26 in neighbouring Bhaktapur Saturday, an official announcement said.
