KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba called an all-party meeting in Kathmandu today to discuss the preparations for the forthcoming 11th Summit meeting of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation SAARC. The meeting decided to work together to make the 11th SAARC a grand success, according to the Prime Minister’s office.
Prime Minister Deuba briefed the representatives about the preparations and said it was almost complete. He also sought suggestions from other parties about the agenda to be raised by Nepal in the SAARC Summit.
Representatives of opposition parties said they would give suggestions about the issues only after due consultation and discussion in their own parties.
The SAARC summit is being held in Kathmandu next month where the chairpersonship of SAARC will be handed over to Nepal.
