Kathmandu: International Fund for Agriculture Development has agreed to provide 200 million US dollars for the implementation of poverty alleviation programmes in some 11 districts of Mid-Western Development and Far-Western Development Regions of Nepal.
The grant assistance covers a period of ten years. The assistance would be utilized to implement poverty alleviation related programmes in Humla, Jumla, Bajura, Bajang, Mugu, Dolpa, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Dailekh, Rukum and Rolpa.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the representatives of His Majesty’s Government and International Fund for Agriculture Development in Rome, Italy recently, Ministry of Finance said.
