HM confers decorations

Kathmandu, Mar. 24: His Majesty the King conferred decorations on those who were decorated on the occasion of His Majesty’s 55th auspicious birthday and cash prizes on the sportspersons winning medals in the 8th saf Games, amidst an investiture ceremony held at the Narayanhity Royal Palace today.

Among the recipients today, four persons were decorated with Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, three with Bikhyat Trishakti Patta, 40 with Suprabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, four with Prakhyat Trishakti Patta, 53 with Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu  and 48 with Gorkha Dakshin Bahu.

In the 8th saf Games,  40 Nepalese players had won gold, 29 silver and 49 bronze medals.

Those winning gold, silver and bronze medals have received Rs 150,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.

Patron of the National Sports Council His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was present on the occasion.

Also present on the occasion was the Prime Minister and Minister for   Youth, Sports and Culture Girija Prasad Koirala.
