Extend schemes to rural areas, Jaycees told

Nepalgunj, Mar. 24: Minister of State for Labour Surendra Hamal inaugurated the national council members mobilisation programme-2000 of Nepal Jaycees here today.

The two-day programme hosted by Nepalgunj Jaycees is being participated in by national office-bearers of Nepal Jaycees and the president of the Nepal Jaycees units.

On the occasion chief, guest and Minister of State Hamal said that Nepal Jaycees should not limit their programmes to the urban areas but also extend them to the rural areas.

Stating that the people who should be learning skills were holding arms and killing and terrorising the people and the civil servants, Mr Hamal urged the Jaycees to bring such people within their fold and to encourage them to carry out positive works.

Mr Hamal expressed the view that speedy development of the country coud take place if the leaders of the political parties moved ahead like the Jaycees.

Nepal Jaycees National President Ful Kumar Lalwani  said that democracy should be developed as a lifestyle of the people.

All solutions to the dissatisfaction of democracy can be found within democracy, as there is no alternative for democracy, he added.

Chairman of Nepalgunj ddc omprakash Jung Rana said that the society had been receiving significant cooperation from Jaycees.

Mayor of Nepalgunj Municipality Dhawal Shamsher Rana expressed the view that the country’s position was deteriorating as a result of the wrong leadership.

At the programme chaired by Nepal Jaycees executive Vice-President Shanta Ratna Shakya, convenor of the Nepal Jaycees national counsellor academy Arun Rajbhandari, ex-Nepal Jaycees president Ravindra Karna, Nepal Jaycees vice-president Ram Bahadur Shrestha and president of Nepalgunj Jaycees Khadga Bahadur Bohara threw light on Jaycees and its programmes.

Minister of State for Labour Surendra Hamal today inspected the programme being carried out by the Bheri zonal office of the skill development center.

On the occasion the Minister of State was apprised of the training programmes by the center’s chief Bikash Mohan Joshi.
