A 28-year-old woman gave birth to quadruplets, all sons, at home and a hospital in Tanahu district in two days beginning Sunday.

Rupa Shrestha and the new-borns are in hospital in Pokhara. The mother of two 13 and eight year-old daughters delivered the first child at home in Ghasikuwa village Sunday.

She was rushed to hospital in Damauli after complications and then to Pokhara where she gave birth to three more sons through caesarian, doctors said.

The underweight babies weigh 1.6 kgs., 1.1 kgs., 1.1 kgs. , and 1.2 kgs. are at the ICU unit of the Manipal Teaching Hospital in the resort town.
