UML general secretary Nepal sick

UML general secretary, Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is under house arrest, is suffering from various diseases, reports said.

A patient of high blood pressure, Nepal is suffering from chest infections, body-ache and fever, among others, the Kantipur daily quoting former minister and close aide of the UML leader, Dr Banshidhar Mishra said.

After aches and uneasiness in his body, Nepal was taken to TU Teaching hospital for health check on Wednesday where Dr Arun Sayami, a reputed cardiologist, inspected him, the daily added.

“Apart from high blood pressure, leader Nepal has infections on his chest,” Dr Mishra said adding, “We are waiting for the pathological reports for details.”

The UML general secretary, Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala, Nepali Congress-Democratic president Sher Bahadur Deuba and People’s Front Nepal president Amik Sherchan have been under house arrest after the February political change in Nepal.
