Security forces killed three Maoists, including two women, in operations Thursday and Friday in three districts, the Defence Ministry said Sunday.

Manamaya Bika died in an encounter at a shelter in Jhapa, the Ministry said. Two rebels died in encounters in Ilam and Nuwakot. The army recovered five guns, three pistols, bullets, explosives, socket bombs, combat dresses and food grains during searches in Udaipur, Lamjung and Myagdhi, an announcement said.
