Police on Friday nabbed two suspects Bhesh Kumar Mishra of Sindhuli and Guddu Verma of Patel Nagar, India in connection with the murder of Casino Royale driver Bidur Karki three weeks back.
Police seized a revolver with five rounds of bullet and a briefcase with Rs 199,000 in cash. The motorcycle used by the assailants has also been taken into control, police said.
Karki was shot dead inside a car in Hattisar on June 27 while the assailants wounded Casino Royale’s cashier Shukra Bahadur Koshwar who was in the same car and robbed him of 200,000 thousand rupees.
Mishra confessed to the police that a plan to loot 2.5 million rupees was made while the accountant would carry the money from the bank to pay salaries was made in his room.
He was arrested from his flat in Kalopul, Kathmandu while Verma was taken into custody from his Maitidevi flat.
The briefcase containing the cash was recovered from a water tank at a residential house in Chundevi in the capital city. The money was soaked. The loaded revolver was found in a heap of garbage near the house.
Min Bahadur Mishra and Padam Bahadur Mishra, the prime suspects of the murder are still absconding, according to the police.
