Inspector General of the Shashtra Seema Baal (SSB) of the Indian state of Utter Pradesh, Sulkhan Singh, has said SSB forces are on high alert along the Indian side of the Nepal-India border.
Speaking Saturday at a press meet in Rupaidiya, a bordering Indian town in west Nepal, Singh said India would never support activities against Nepal, according to reports. “Stern action against those involved in activities against Nepal in India will be taken,” reports quoted Singh as saying.
Saying the Maoist problem is Nepal’s internal matter, he said SSB posts have been established at five km distance along the border. Singh was visiting four border districts of India, reports added.
