Share prices re-bound

Share prices rebounded last week at the end of five-day trading Friday. The NEPSE index gained 5.88 points after opening at 276.46 points Monday and closing at 282.34 points.

The index plunged 3.58 points the previous week. Commercial bank index rose 10 points last week contributing to the surge. Altogether 35,075 shares of 36 listed companies valued at Rs.15 million were sold in 672 transactions.

The Bank of Kathmandu led the market with 1211 shares valued at Rs.4.6 million traded during the week. Commercial bank shares accounted for 78.84 the total trade.
