Parajuli re-elected president of Maoist student organisation

Devendra Parajuli was re-elected president of All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary), the student organ of underground Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).

The 15th national convention of Maoist students union that concluded in Biratnagar Sunday elected new central leadership of the organisation including Parajuli. Besides the president, the convention elected four vice presidents, a general secretary, a secretary, a treasurer, 65 full central committee members and 20 alternative central committee members.

The four vice presidents are Lekh Nath Neupane, Benuj Adhikari, Krishna KC and Gopal Sharma. Purna Poudel, Himal Sharma and Mahendra Shrestha are newly elected general secretary, secretary and treasurer respectively. Maoist students had scheduled their annual convention in Kathmandu. They postponed it and moved to Biratnagar when government banned public gatherings in Kathmandu for one month.
