A group of Maoist terrorists murdered Nepali Congress leader Aditya Gewali at his Rajpur based residence in Darganga Village Development Committee, ward no: 6 of Kapilbastu district Thursday night, the Radio Nepal reported.
Gewali was an active member of the party and had dedicated 35 years of unwavering service to the party. In the course of his struggle for democracy, Gewali was imprisoned several times.
Vice President of the Nepali Congress splinter group and Minister for Works and Physical Planning Chiranjibi Wagle and Nepali Congress leader Deep Kumar Upadhayaya condemned the murder and also extended their condolences to the bereaved family members of Upadhyaya.
