There is a possibility that the King and the agitating party leaders will hold a meeting soon, senior UML leader Bamdev Gautam said Tuesday.

“Such a meeting will be held most probably after Dashain or Tihar,” Gautam said in a program Tuesday. “There should be no any doubt.” He further said the meeting will discuss ways and means to resolve the Maoist insurgency problem.

“Need of the hour is to end violence. Without resolving the Maoist problem, violence will not end and the nation cannot go ahead,” he said.

On his party’s stance on constituent assembly, Gautam said UML may go for it. “But the King should be playing the leading role taking all parliamentarian forces into confidence.”
