A 45-year-old German carpenter scaled the 7525 meters high Annapurna-IV from the south west ridge on October 3, the Ministry of Tourism said Tuesday quoting a delayed message from base camp.

Christoph Pryesing climbed the peak after a four-hour summit push from the third camp at 6850 meters and returned safely to the camp the same day.

The six-member team led by Heinz Schauer, 51, left base camp for Kathmandu en route home Saturday.
