French, Nepali team scale Dorje Lakpa

Two French and two sherpas of a joint French, Nepali expedition scaled the 6966 metres high Dorje Lakpa north of the capital on October 21, the Ministry of Tourism said Tuesday quoting a delayed report from base camp.

Leader of the eight-member team Grenier Phillippe, 48, Marc de Sommer, 38, Tenzi Sherpa, 35, and Pema Tshering Sherpa, 18, climbed the peak through the west ridge at 1 PM, The Ministry said.
