CPN-UML candidates elected to NA from development regions

Kathmandu, June 27: CPN-UML candidates were elected to the National Assembly, Upper House of Parliament, from five development regions.

According to Election Commission, those elected from five development regions are Ram Prit Yadav from the Eastern Development Region, Lalit Kumar Basnet from Central Development Region, Sri Maya Thakali from Western Development Region, Ranga Nath Joshi from Mid-Western Development Region and Urba Dutta Pant from Far-western Development Region.

Representatives of the local bodies (village development committees, municipalities and district development committees) elected the National members to be elected from the development regions. Five members (one from each development region) are elected to the National Assembly in every two years.
