Maoists shot dead a man and injured his son at Sunakoti in Lalitpur overnight, police said Thursday. Rebels shot dead Hari Bahadur Dangol and injured his son Dinesh, police said.

NEA incurs Rs.30 million in damage
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has so far incurred Rs.30 million in damage from rebel attacks mainly on power houses and transformers. Vehicles were also damaged in attacks.
NEA Chief Janak Lal Karmacharya said 12,000 customers have been affected. The damaged Jhimruk power station in Pyuthan district has resumed operations after repairs last week, he said.
This year’s monsoon also caused extensive damage, he said.
