The Intellectuals and Professional department of the Nepali Congress held it’s meeting Monday and flayed the Election Commission for not settling the dispute that has surfaced in the Nepali Congress party.

The meeting held under the chief of the department Binay Dhoj Chand said despite the clarity that Girija Prasad Koirala is the only legal President elected by the tenth General Convention of the party, the Election Commission has been delaying to give the election symbol to it.

The meeting also objected to the indifference shown by EC towards the violation of the election code of conduct by the government. “The EC has remained mum even when the government media has been constantly referring to Sher Bahadur Deuba as the President of the Nepali Congress party when the issue is yet to be settled,” the participants of the meeting said.
