Epidemic breaks out in villages adjacent to Narayani River

The landslides and floods triggered by incessant rains last week has resulted in the spread of epidemics in certain pockets of the country while the details of further loss of lives and property are still being received.

The people in ten different Village Development Committees in Nawalparasi district have been complaining of fever, vomiting and headache.

Though the doctors have said that the disease is viral fever, the disease has not been fully identified. After the epidemic broke out in the district, the district public health division had written to the center for medical assistance. But the team of experts has not yet reached the district.

Reports about the outbreak of epidemics are being received from other parts of the country also.
