The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the Deuba led Nepali Congress held Wednesday decided to dismiss 11 district presidents on the basis of the assessment of the roles of the district committees in the recent General Convention called by Prime Minister Deuba.
Those dismissed are Shiv Kumar Basnet(Khotang), Krishna Lal Sapkota (Chitwan), Shanker Kant Joshi (Lamjung), Nandamani Rai (Bhojpur), Bidur Basnet (Udayapur), Mahendra Kumar Raya (Mahottari), Ganesh Prasad Bimali (Terhathum), Bipin Koirala (Sindhuli), Sita Devi Yadav (Siraha), Madhavmani Rajbhandari (Dolakha) and Ramchandra Khadka (Ramechhap).
Meanwhile Nepali Congress district ad hoc committees have been constituted under the chairmanship of Gyanendra Bahadur Karki (Bhojpur), Subash Kumar Pokherel (Khotang), Shesnath Adhikari (Chitwan), Devi Prasad Neupane (Dolakha), Angtawa Sherpa (Ramechhap), Govinda Dhungana (Terhathum), Ram Kumar Yadav (Siraha), Manik Dhakal (Sindhuli), Tulasi Narayan Shrestha (Lamjung), Narayan Bahadur Karki (Udayapur) and Janakisharan Saha (Mahottari).
Likewise the meeting dissolved the Nepali Congress district working committees led by individuals who acted against the party’s principles, spirits, norms and values.
Those dissolved are Ashok Kumar Koirala (Morang), Sudhir Kumar Siwakoti (Jhapa), Baburam Rana (Rupandehi, Krishna Chandra Nepali (Nawalparasi), Jagadish Chandra Narsingh K.C. (Nuwakot), Ramnath Adhikari (Dhading), Tirtharam Dangol (Kathmandu), Madhu Acharya (Kabhre), Rajan Panta(Palpa) and Kamalesh Kumar Sharma (Kapilvastu).

Meanwhile Central Working Committee member of the Koirala led Nepali Congress party Ram Chandra Poudel said Wednesday that the tendency to take the party ahead under a single leadership would invite further division in the party.
Poudel speaking at a programme organized by the Reporters’ club Morang branch in Morang said he had stressed on taking ahead the party on the basis of group leadership.
He said the rumour about the Nepali Congress becoming one was just a rumour. Poudel however hinted that a new situation could arise if the parliament was reinstated by the Supreme Court.
