Five Spaniards are missing on the treacherous northeast ridge of the 7151 metres high

Pumori during a summit attack Wednesday, the Ministry of Tourism said.

Leader of the 10-member expedition Artiz Artieda, 23, Cesar Nieto, 22, Xabier Osinalde, 26, Benat Arruo, 26 and Joseba Inaki Aiertza, 29, went missing on the peak near Sagarmatha during a summit from the first camp.

The height of the first camp was not known. Other details of the accident were not available.

There have been two casualties during the current climbing season in the Nepal Himalaya. n
