A Japanese climber slipped and died on Lobuche in the Mount Everest region Tuesday morning at 6.10 AM, police said. Family and the Japanese embassy have been informed of Yoshinori Suzyaki’s death.

The trekking agency handling his trip is awaiting instructions from the family, police said.
