Vehicular movement across the Indo-Nepal border at Belhiya-Sunauli in Bhairawa resumed Tuesday afternoon after a two-day break following the end of a dispute between Nepali and Indian customs officials, an announcement said.

Three Nepali customs officials have been suspended for investigation after an Indian official was physically  abused during a dispute following the free entry of a passenger bus with Nepali pilgrims Sunday at the Indian customs check-point without a check.

Both sides have agreed to act “in a more disciplined manner” after the dispute, an  announcement said. Nepal lost several million rupees is customs duty following a two-day closure of the border on Sunday/Monday.
