Two Swiss climbers scaled the 7161 meters high Pumori November 9 several days after five Spanish climbers perished on the peak in an avalanche during a summit bid, the Ministry of Tourism said quoting delayed reports from base camp.

Walter Hungerbuhler, 37, and Florain Straub, 31, climbed the peak at 9.45 AM local time and stayed 15 minutes on the summit. They were members of a five-member team.

There were 10 fatalities in the autumn climbing season in the Nepal Himalaya that ended Thursday.
