The valley police office has registered a case against thirteen policemen posted at the Dillibazar prison on charges of helping Narul Imam alias Lalbabu to escape from the prison, the Nepal Samacharpatra reported.
Lalbabu was put behind the bars on charges of murder and drug trafficking. The valley police have initiated the process of suspending the 13 policemen after registering a case at the Kathmandu District Court.
The valley police have found that the 13 policemen had taken a large amount of money in bribes before letting Lalbabu escape from the prison. Those who have been subjected to action are police constables Hem Narayan Shah, Gopal Prasad Timalsina, Chhabilal Adhikari and police jawans Nanda Kishor Pal, Anirudra Prasad Gupta, Abanish Kumar Mishra, Surendra K. C, Pradeep Hamal, Shiva Raj Joshi, Jeerjodhan Rai, Ajaya Das Baniya, Nanda Kishor Prasad Yadav and Mohammad Hussein Devan.
