Their Majesties King Gyanendra and Queen Komal are in Butwal, the zonal headquarter of Lumbini zone in course their informal visit to the Western Development Region to access the security situation of the region.

The regional administrator, zonal administrator, Chief District Officer and chiefs of the security agencies welcomed their Majesties at the Number 22 Brigade of the Royal Nepalese Army upon their arrival.

Their Majesties visited the Durga temple at the western regional Police Training Center and offered prayers.

According to 2.00 p.m. news bulletin of the Radio Nepal, currently their Majesties are granting collective audience to the general public and listening their grievances.

Their Majesties will grant collective audience and directives to the chairmen and vice chairmen of the District Development Committees (DDCs) of Lumbini zone.

Their Majesties visited Baglung, the zonal headquarter of the Dhaulagiri zone on Wednesday.

Earlier, King Gyanendra had visited districts in the eastern, mid and far-western and central region of Nepal after the Royal takeover of February 1 to access the security situation of the regions and to listen to the grievances of the local people.
