Six terrorists killed in search operations

KATHMANDU, Jan. 25: Six terrorists were killed in Syangja, Achham and Kailali districts during search operations and in counter attacks of the security forces on Friday, the Defence Ministry statement said today.

According to the Ministry, four terrorists were gunned down at Chitre Bhanjyang area of Syangja and one each in Achham and Kailali.

The forces found seven rifles, socket bombs, mega-phones, various types of guns, cartridges, combat dresses, equipment used for laying ambushes, apparatus for bomb making bombs, 10 tolas of silver jewelry, two khukuris, and documents related to terrorism from the incident site at Syangja. 
Similarly, they have recovered socket bombs, grenades, explosives, equipment using for electric ambush, sleeping bags, donation pad, dresses, logistics and terrorism related documents from Bardiya and Kalikot.

In the meantime, the forces have distributed 1,500 kilos of foodgrains found at Phinam area of Gorkha district to orphans of Gorkha Association of Deaf.

On Friday, a temporary health camp run at Manakamana area of Gorkha provided medical check-up and medicines free of cost to 30 local people.
