The eighth general convention of the umbrella organization of Private and Boarding School Organization (PABSON) re-elected Umesh Shrestha to the top post of the organization for the next two years.

The general convention elected Bhoj Bahadur Shah and Lakshya Bahadur KC for the posts of senior vice-chairman and general secretary respectively.

Dil Bahadur Ban, BN Sharma, Bhim Lal Panta, Narayan Prashad Adhikari and Hari Har Kharel have been elected to the posts of vice-chairman of eastern, central, western, mid-western and far-western region respectively.

Ram Keshar Khadka and Sangita Hamal are the secretaries of the newly elected working committee.

Sanu Amatya and Ramesh Bahadur Katuwal are the treasurer and joint treasurer respectively.

The general convention also elected four members from the eastern region, seven from the central region, four from the western region and one each from mid-western and far-western region.

Likewise two special women members were also elected during the general convention.

The general convention adopted a 21-point Birgunj declaration.
