Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd. announced a 100 percent dividend for its shareholders at
the Bank’s 16th annual general meeting January 10, a delayed announcement said.
One unit of the Bank’s share has a par value of Rs.100. The Bank recorded a net profit after tax of Rs.479 million in the fiscal year 2001/2– up 11.2 percent from the previous year.
N. Shrestha and Basudev Ram Joshi have been nominated members of the Bank’s board representing Nepal Bank Ltd,– a promoter.
Nepal Investment Bank (NIB) recorded an after tax profit of Rs.57 million in the fiscal year 2001/2 ending July 16 last year, an announcement said. The Bank’s 16th annual general meting was held Tuesday for the first time without French promoters who withdrew last year.
