KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has hinted at joining the Deuba government.

A meeting of the RPP central committee Monday discussed the party’s strategies and the prospects of joining the government. It is learnt that 11 central committee members who gave their views in the meeting were in favor of joining the government.

They said that the party’s involvement in the government could be more meaningful if the UML also does the same or offers support from outside.

“The issue of joining the government was discussed in the meeting but no decision has been taken,” assistant general secretary Khemraj Pundit told reporters after the meeting. Pundit presented a 16-point proposal for discussion at the meeting, which touches upon a range of issues including that of formation of a new constitution. The meeting will continue on Tuesday.
